Members of the Officeworks Team at Learning Links Preschool

This June, Officeworks is hosting its annual Make A Difference Appeal to raise money for local causes across the country. Learning Links is incredibly humbled to be one of the 15 local community organisations that Officeworks, together with its customers, will be supporting! Officeworks store teams selected the organisations they wanted to help based on what felt most relevant to their local communities.

This year, Officeworks is supporting organisations that promote inclusion and provide support to enable children to learn, create and connect for a sustainable future.

Learning Links will be generously supported by 11 Officeworks stores across Sydney and the South Coast. These stores are

  • Campbelltown
  • Carlton
  • Casula
  • Fairy Meadow
  • Gledswood Hills
  • Greenacre
  • Liverpool
  • Mittagong
  • Nowra
  • Punchbowl
  • Taren Point

Funds raised from the appeal will empower children with learning difficulties, who face disadvantage, through access to life-changing services such as education support, psychology services and speech therapy.

We were so excited to kick off this partnership by hosting members of the incredible Officeworks team at our Peakhurst Learning Centre and Preschool! Members of the Officeworks team had a tour of our centre, heard about our range of programs and services, experienced what it can feel like to find learning difficult at school and participated in some fun and interactive activities with our Preschool children. It was a meaningful and engaging day that gave the Officeworks team an opportunity to experience our hard work and passion for making a life-changing difference for children in need, and their families.

Members of the Fundraising and Leadership team are also visiting stores througout June to motivate the teams as they work hard to raise funds and awareness.

Officeworks’ commitment to supporting causes that impact their customers and local communities is truly inspiring. Learning Links is so proud of the partnership and we have enjoyed engaging and getting to know the teams across Sydney and the NSW South Coast. The funds they raise through the Make a Difference Appeal will empower disadvantaged children with learning difficulties to learn, develop and thrive, and raise vital awareness about the support children and families can access if they are facing their own struggles with learning difficulties and mental health concerns. The support is truly life-changing– thank you Officeworks!,” said Rachel Brodie-Browne, Head of Fundraising at Learning Links.

The Officeworks Make a Difference Appeal is held every year as part of their People & Planet Positive Plan commitments, last year’s Appeal raised more than $1 million.

Officeworks Managing Director Sarah Hunter said: “Our annual Officeworks Make A Difference Appeal aims to support local causes and organisations close to our hearts by providing them with the resources they need to continue their important work in our local communities where we live and work. Together with our customers this June, our fundraising efforts and making a small donation at the check-out will help make bigger things happen for Australian children and make a positive difference to our communities, right across the nation.”
