Learning Links is committed to continuous improvement and providing a website that is accessible to as many people as possible. Our website follows the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, aiming for Level AA compliance.
To achieve this, we have taken a number of steps:
- Alternative text (alt text) is used to describe images, providing equivalent information for users who cannot see the images
- Text is designed to be readable and has sufficient contrast to make it accessible for users with visual impairments
- Headings and semantic markup are used to structure content, making it more accessible for screen readers
- Forms and interactive elements are designed with accessibility in mind, including labels and instructions for users who rely on assistive technologies
- The site can be navigated easily by using a keyboard.
- A skip link that provides mechanism to jump past the the list of repetitive items to the main content of the page.
- Ensured all links are recognisable as links.
In addition to these technical features, we have the Userway Accessibility Widget Tool within the website which adds more accessibility settings/options for users.
