Free professional development workshop for educators in the Hills Shire

Castle Hill RSL Club has granted Learning Links $5,600 towards building capacity for classroom teachers to support students with learning difficulties and disabilities. Educators located within the Hills Shire are invited to attend a free professional development workshop to be held on Tuesday, 6th November at Castle Hill RSL Club.

The session will be presented by Learning Links professionals experienced in the fields of Psychology, Therapy Intervention and Educational Support, said Ms Birgitte Maibom, Learning Links CEO.

“As a not-for-profit organisation, we greatly value the support provided by local clubs such a Castle Hill RSL Club. This is a testament to their commitment in supporting the educational outcomes and the well-being of local children. Castle Hill RSL Group believes in our mission to help all children reach their full learning potential.

“At the free teacher development session, educators from schools in the Hills Shire will be provided with quality intervention strategies and resources to implement in the classroom aimed at students struggling in literacy and numeracy.

“It is an opportunity to gain a greater understanding and insight into practical processes and methods that can easily be implemented in the classroom.

“I greatly encourage any teaching professional working in the Hills Shire to attend this session at Castle Hill RSL Club. Every child learns differently and the ability to introduce various processes and ways of teaching to ensure all students are engaged is important. This is especially true for students struggling to learn,” said Ms Birgitte Maibom, Learning Links CEO.

“Castle Hill RSL Group recognises the important support that Learning Links provides in our community, to both children and educators, and we are pleased to be able to contribute to the learning and development of educators that support students with learning difficulties and disabilities,” said Mr Warren Glenny, President Castle Hill RSL Group.
