School should be an enjoyable and rewarding experience for every child, however, it can be very challenging for some children, particularly those with learning difficulties. One in five children will struggle to learn and for these children school can become an unhappy and stressful place. As a child who has learning support needs progresses through school, he or she often loses the confidence in themselves and their abilities. They may lose interest in school, become frustrated and try and avoid school work. Learning Links team of specialist teachers work collaboratively with families, schools and other professionals to address the road blocks that prevent children from learning.
School is not only about working in the classroom it is also a place for children to meet new friends and enjoy social interactions. Some children stuffle with emotional and social development which can impact on both learning and friendships.
