Elizabeth Death

Elizabeth Death (pronounced Deeth) joined the Board of Learning Links as Non-Executive Director in September 2022. She serves as a member of the Finance and Audit Committee and Property Redevelopment Advisory Committee.

Elizabeth started out as an early childhood teacher and over her extensive career, has risen to executive leadership positions across prominent early education and care providers to inspire new generations of teachers and promote high-quality service provision at local government and state and territory level. She is currently the CEO of the Early Learning and Care Council of Australia (ELACCA), which represents the nation’s largest providers of early learning and care.

Elizabeth is dedicated to driving research and innovation, and engaging with government, sector, community and media to encourage policy change and generate greater awareness of the importance of investment in high quality early learning and care. She is Graduate Member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and co-author of the seminal academic text, ‘Programming and planning in early childhood settings’, which is now in its eighth edition.
