Who should attend?

High school teachers (Stage Four), learning support teachers and teacher’s aides.

What’s it about?

Are your teenage students struggling to write a cohesive paragraph in class and exams, starting at a blank piece of paper?

An essay is a collection of paragraphs (well sequenced) and a paragraph is a collection of sentences (well constructed) – it’s still a challenge for many students! Teenage students struggling to write extended responses or essays are unable to show you what they have learnt in your class. This workshop will help you support teenage students to approach writing activities and complete them. We will focus on using scaffolds and an array of technology supports to help your students move beyond the blank piece of paper.
