What’s it about?
You may have heard about dyslexia, but not dyscalculia – this is a maths learning difficulty. Do you have students who cannot add, subtract, multiply and divide, even after you have taught them how?
In this workshop you will learn about the assessment and diagnosis of Dyscalculia, the essential requirements of a Dyscalculia or maths intervention and practical ways to support your students to learn to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
This course is suitable for primary and high school teachers (Early Stage One to Stage Four), learning support teachers and teacher’s aides.
Completing this course will contribute 3 hours of NSW Education Standards Authority (NESA) Registered PD addressing 1.1.2, 1.6.2, 5.1.2 from the Australian Professional Standards for Teachers towards maintaining Proficient Teacher Accreditation in NSW.
