Learning Links Provisional Psychologists are paired with an accredited and experienced supervisor who provides mentoring, guidance and support. Individual supervision sessions are held on a regular basis where issues of professional practice are discussed. Support for all competencies and the National Psychology Exam is provided.
In addition to the individual supervision sessions, Provisional Psychologists participate in group supervision sessions with other Provisional Psychologists. The group supervision sessions provide an excellent opportunity to work with a range of our accredited supervisors as well as your fellow colleagues. The competencies outlined by the Psychology Board of Australia are discussed during these sessions.
In order to successfully complete the psychology registration internship program, Provisional Psychologists need to participate in professional development. Learning Links offers a full range of workshops to cover all your professional development needs.
In addition to supervision and professional development there is also the opportunity to apply for a placement at Learning Links. Learning Links has been delivering services for children and families since 1972. As such, we are well placed to offer our Provisional Psychologists an exciting and varied placement experience.
The Psychology Board of Australia requires that full-time Provisional Psychologists complete 34 hours per week placement over a two year period. Part-time Provisional Psychologists are required to complete either 17 hours per week over a four year period or 25.5 hours per week over a three year period.
If you have already secured a placement with another organisation we are still able to provide you with supervision and professional development.
