Speech Therapy Aide

Your role

Use your empathy and expertise to make a difference to the lives of children and families across Sydney. In this role day to day, you will be:

  • Working with a wide range of children including those with learning difficulties and disabilities.
  • Working in a school setting delivering small group oral language programs with K-2 students. All program materials, session plans and resources provided for you.
  • Documenting intervention outcomes and progress.
  • Working closely with our therapy aide team leader and actively participating in regular supervision and professional development to support delivery of quality services.
  • Working as part of a multidisciplinary team of Psychologists and Educators.
  • Providing great customer service and build positive customer relationships through effective communication.
  • Achieving individual and team KPIs to support Learning Links’ strategy.
  • We also provide full technology support including supplying you with a iPad, and WIFI – which means you’ve got the tools and support you need to spend more of your time helping children.

Your team

Our Speechie team at Learning Links are special. We work hard to support children and families, but we also enjoy a few laughs at our team days and social events (e.g., Friday night dinners; board game night).

Your knowledge and qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in final or second last year of qualifying Speech Pathology degree (Bachelor or Masters).
  • A passion for working with children.
  • Experience working with children in an individual or small group setting through placements or volunteer work.
  • Willingness to travel with a current driver’s license and access to a comprehensively insured vehicle.

Child safety is top priority for us, and we are a child safe organisation. You will be asked to undergo a police check and Working with Children Check.
