Provisional Psychologist

Learning Links are looking for Provisional Psychologists to join the team in a permanent part time (minimum 2 days a week) capacity. There are pathways to progression and regular PD, coaching and peer support. We have roles based in Gledswood Hills, Liverpool, Peakhurst & Partner Schools.

Essential skills and qualifications

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Psychology (4 year equivalent).
  • Provisional registration as a Psychologist through AHPRA under 4+2, 5+1 or transitional pathway is an essential criteria.
  • Working with Children Check (WWCC) or willingness to obtain.
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check (NDISWC) or willingness to obtain.
  • Experience building connections and developing positive relationships with children and parents.
  • Demonstrated ability to apply psychological assessment to both clinical formulation and the delivery of intensive therapeutic intervention to clients.

Desirable

  • Competent in administering, interpreting, and writing associated reports for cognitive (WISC, WPPSI) and academic (WIAT) assessments.
  • Ability to work with a culturally and socially diverse group of clients, and to apply a culturally responsive framework to guide interventions.
  • Prior experience working with children presenting with Autism.
