Early Childhood Educator 2024

Learning Links are looking for an Early Childhood Educator Diploma qualified to work in our Exceeding Rated Preschool. This role will demonstrate a strong commitment to providing excellent customer service to clients and staff including, sharing skills and knowledge, responding positively to changing demands/priorities and communicating ongoing client information to the Preschool leadership team.

We operate from 8am-4pm during school terms and provide a high-quality inclusive early childhood program catering for the individual needs of all children from 3 to 6 years and their families. 

This role is a fixed term part time role commencing in January 2024 for 12 months (working Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday) and will work closely with our Preschool Director, Preschool staff, therapists and broader organisational stakeholders.

Day to day responsibilities will include:

• Developing caring and nurturing relationships with children that reflect their interests and a strengths-based practice.
• Facilitating group time and activities and ensuring rooms and resources are set up and ready to go.
• Writing documentation including observations and communicating daily updates to families to keep them invested and involved.
• Supporting families with resources and strategies for learning.
• Using strong working knowledge of the National Quality Standards, including the EYLF.
• Using exceptional communication skills to connect with and collaborate with the team and suggest improvements.
• Constantly reflecting on and enhancing our inclusive practice
• Attending 4 x staff meetings each term after hours

About you

• ACECQA approved Diploma qualification (or studying towards diploma qualification).
• Experience working in an early childhood education setting.
• Understanding of current early education and care legislation and regulations including the EYLF and NQS.
• Current ACECQA approved first aid, CPR, anaphylaxis, and asthma certificates.
• Current ACECQA approved Child Protection training.
• Ability to undertake the physical requirements of the role.
• WWCC clearance.
• NDIS Screener check clearance
• Commitment to working in partnership with families and other professionals
