Charity Housie Worker

The Role

We are looking for dynamic, energetic and confident Cash Housie Hosts to be the voice and face of our fun and exciting Charity Housie sessions for the Wollongong/South Coast region. Immediate start!

Shifts are 4 hours long with a variety of shifts during the week, from Tuesday to Saturday. The role will fit well with study or school hours – offering a perfect work/life balance. 

When you apply, you will be asked to nominate your availability for these times.

Day to day you will be:

  • Building great rapport with our lovely patrons and club staff
  • Setting up equipment and point of sales
  • Calculating prize money and reconciliation of takings
  • Recording session information

And for those who aren’t shy…

  • Microphone work – calling bingo games at the sessions (a desirable skill, but not essential)

Full training is provided, along with ongoing support from our hands-on management team.

Remuneration

  • Casual role
  • Attractive hourly rate (above award) + Allowances
  • Not for Profit Salary Packaging options to increase your take home pay.

Essential Criteria

  • Drivers license and insured vehicle
  • Friendly disposition and great customer service skills
  • Well presented
  • Laptop and Mobile phone
  • Ability to lift 10-15Kg (stock, and table set up)

Desirable Criteria

  • Ability to work a flexible roster (including nights and weekends)
  • Some knowledge of bingo or housie
  • Microphone experience

A little about Learning Links

Learning Links is a charity that has been helping families and children with learning difficulties for 50 years. Our  Charity Housie operations, run within our Registered Clubs Partners in NSW, support the charitable work of our organisation to provide services to children and their families.

Child safety is top priority for us, and we are a child safe organisation. You will be asked to undergo a Police check.
