About Us
Learning Links is a not-for-profit organisation with a mission to support children to learn, develop, and thrive. Our Charity Housie team is a vital part of our fundraising efforts, allowing us to extend impactful services to children and families. We work closely with clubs across New South Wales to provide engaging, high-quality Charity Housie (a bit like Bingo) sessions that contribute to community enrichment while generating essential support for Learning Links’ programs and services.
Our Charity Housie program comprises of 90 sessions per week across 46 venues. More than 12,000 patrons play Learning Links Charity Housie each week. The Charity Housie team has more than 40 staff and is growing. We are the largest provider of Charity Housie in NSW and are regularly contacted by clubs to commence new sessions due to our professional and sophisticated approach.
The Role
We’re seeking an experienced Business Development Manager with a passion for team leadership, partnership building, and achieving ambitious revenue targets. This role is essential in growing and sustaining our Charity Housie program, which includes collaborating with club partners across a large geographic footprint.
As the Business Development Manager for Charity Housie, you will:
- Build and sustain partnerships: Cultivate and manage relationships with club partners through regular on-site visits, reviews, and proactive engagement to optimise current operations and pursue growth.
- Lead with impact: Guide and inspire the Charity Housie team to maintain high standards in customer service, compliance, and team engagement.
- Drive financial performance: Use data insights to make strategic decisions that maximise profitability and revenue growth, while managing budgets and expenses to align with targets.
- Revenue growth and ClubGRANTS expansion: Strategically pursue new funding through ClubGRANTS and other avenues, partnering with the fundraising team to secure support.
- Operational excellence: Manage budgets, optimise session profitability, oversee compliance, and ensure the Housie team maintains high service standards.
- Ensure regulatory compliance: Maintain rigorous adherence to fundraising, gaming, and regulatory standards, reinforcing a culture of safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Develop new opportunities: Pursue additional revenue streams through ClubGRANTS, new club partnerships, and other potential funding sources.

About You
To excel in this role, you will bring:
- Proven leadership experience: A track record of successfully managing teams and fostering a positive, high-performance culture.
- Sales and account management: 5-7 years in business development, sales, or account management, ideally within a related industry.
- Financial acumen: Experience managing a P&L, budgets, and revenue targets with a data-driven approach.
- Customer-centric mindset: Commitment to delivering exceptional service to partners and patrons alike.
- Flexibility for travel: A valid driver’s licence and ability to travel regularly across Sydney, NSW, and Queensland.
