Area Manager - South Sydney and South Coast (Internal only)

The Area Manager role is a temporary placement that will oversee the day-to-day operations of our Charity Housie team in South Sydney and the South Coast region. This is a great opportunity for Housie Workers to develop their skills.

The responsibilities of this role include:

  • Manage all operational elements related to housie sessions in allocated Clubs, including but not limited to running sessions to targets, promotions, stocktakes, training of new staff, ordering stock for sessions where required.
  • Work closely with other Area Managers to ensure consistency across the organisation and sessions.
  • Lead, develop, train, and upskill the team of Housie Workers.
  • Liaise with Clubs and patrons to ensure that strong and professional relationships are built and maintained.
  • Use customer feedback and financial results to make and recommend improvements to the services.
  • Work with Session Supervisors to ensure that all session reports are completed in portal in a consistent manner, within 1 business day of the completion of the session.
  • Ensure regulatory compliance as well as compliance with Housie Rule and Club Rules across all sessions.
  • Conduct regular meetings with Housie Workers as well as Self Reflection reviews.
  • Coach Housie Workers to ensure sessions are delivered to a high standard and positive relationships are built.
  • Manage customer complaints.
  • Work with the Area Manager team to problem solve and logistically organise all elements required to run a session. This includes work in our storage facility.

  • More than 2 years relevant experience in a similar role
  • Strong communication skills and customer service experience
  • Relationship/Stakeholder management
  • MS Office experience
  • Proficient computer skills
