Preschool

Learning Links' Preschool located in Peakhurst in Sydney's south offers a quality early childhood program for children with and without special needs from two-and-a-half to school age, catering for the individual needs of children and their families.

It is a community-based preschool licensed by the Department of Community Services. The Preschool opens during school terms. Children can attend our sessional program (Mondays and Tuesdays 9.00am-11.30am or 12.30pm-3.00pm) or our full day program (9.00am-3.00pm).

The Preschool offers high staff:child ratios. Through individual and group play, children enjoy developing skills for lifelong learning. Our curriculum also focuses on developing friendships between children of all abilities.

Specialised early intervention services are provided children with special needs who are encouraged to learn alongside their friends.

Our early childhood intervention focuses on promoting an appropriate and challenging environment for each child. Therapists work in the classrooms alongside teachers to ensure the children consistently learn in their play environment. Their approach is both functional and practical. They are also available to discuss a child's individual program and give ideas for learning at home.

We hope that by experiencing our caring preschool all the children will understand individual differences and learn respect for each other. By giving young children these important skills at such a crucial time, they will be able to take this with them to school and throughout their life.
