What is Playing, Listening and Talking with KIDS?
Playing, Listening and Talking with KIDS is an early intervention strategy for children from birth to five years that focuses on experiences and activities vital to literacy competency at school.
As part of the Communities for Children initiative, Playing Listening and Talking with KIDS is helping to foster a neighbourhood that celebrates opportunities for children and families to play, learn and build a happy and positive future.
Playing, Listening and Talking with KIDS recognises that every child learns from their family first and the time parents spend with their children every day makes a
difference.
The program will share with parents the importance of taking time to play, talking about everyday things and experiences, sharing stories and books, singing songs and listening to their children.
Building happy and positive futures
