Donations in Kind

Some people prefer to find community organisations or charities that could benefit from donations of goods they manufacture or have on hand.

Donations in Kind maybe tax deductible and are a valuable way of giving back to the community. Learning Links is happy to discuss Donations in Kind.

We are always grateful for donations of White A4 paper suitable for printers and photocopiers, stationery items such as folders and new electrical appliances for our raffle or any other items which would be suitable. Please ring (02) 8568 8200 to check if an item is needed before donating.

Other items that we need at the moment are as follows.

Oatley Cottage - Early Starters Group

The Bankstown Early Starters group at Oatley Cottage needs a couple of items to help with their weekly groups for babies, toddlers and children aged three to five years old who have learning disabilities, difficulties and developmental delays.

A new CD player is required to play music for therapy in our groups and a new desk-top photocopier to be used for copying resources and information for our families.

The multi-purpose photocopier that would suit our requirements is a Brother MFC-2900 Flatbed Digital Multifuction Centre costing $169.  A Sony CFD S03 MP3 CD Radio Cassette player costs $150 including GST.

If anyone is able to donate towards these items, please call Robin Treloar on 8783 7111.

IT Equipment

Learning Links needs a laptop to provide secretarial and administration support for our Early Childhood Services, School Age Services and Family Services teams.

The recommended retail price for a Compaq notebook computer including 2GB Ram and case is $1,165.00 including GST.

Any donations towards this equipment would be greatly appreciated. Please call Paul Bassetti on 8568 8200 if you can help.

Kitchen supply & installation

Our office at Penshurst is in need of a new kitchen – we think the current kitchen is either the original kitchen or updated in the sixties or seventies.

If you know a kitchen company looking to get rid of a demonstration or shop kitchen and would be also willing to install the kitchen as a donation, we would sincerely appreciate this.  The kitchen in the building is used by staff, parents, children and visitors.

If anyone can help us with this donation, please call Barbara Neilson on 8568 8215.

Physiotherapy equipment needed for Early Childhood Services

Two weighted block trolleys are needed to assist in providing vital physiotherapy help for our Early Starters Program and Baby Links Groups in Miller and Oatley.

These trolleys would be of valuable assistance in our Early Starters playgroups to assist children experiencing delays or difficulties with mobility.

The weighted block trolley is height adjustable and designed with specific weights and castors that make assisted walking more safe and successful for children with delayed walking. The weighted trolleys are often in high demand by children who need to borrow them for extended practise at home and this can leave the locations without a trolley to be used or trialled by children attending Learning Links’ programs.

Having a weighted trolley in each location will allow children attending the programs access to this piece of equipment when required. The weighted block trolleys cost $210.00 for two.

Any donations towards the equipment would be greatly appreciated. Please call Maie Simson on 8525 8236 if you can help.

Comfortable chairs needed at our Kingsford location

Our Kingsford location is in desperate need of a new lounge and 3 chairs for our waiting room for the children and families attending services.

The existing lounge chair is falling apart and there are not enough chairs for the families waiting to use. We would love a donation towards the lounge and chairs and if you can help with this request please phone Barbara Neilson on 8568 8215.
