Bequests

Learning Links appreciates that sometimes people would like to donate to an organisation in their Will, helping the organisation continue valuable services for years to come.

We understand that it is often difficult to think about making a Will and as a charity we also find it hard to discuss this.

We are aware, however, that some people do think about donating in this way. Bequests to organisations can be for any amount or include items such as shares, artwork or even cars.

For this reason we offer the following sample wording for supporters considering a bequest:

"I give to Learning Links, a charity, for its charitable purposes the sum of $________ free of all debts, duties and taxes, and declare the receipt of the treasurer shall be sufficient discharge to my executors/trustees for this gift."

Learning Links is unable to assist with the creation of a Will and it would be best if you contact a solicitor for advice on this topic.
