Baby Links, Little Links & Let's Play
Our Baby Links, Little Links and Let's Play Program provides early childhood intervention in playgroup
settings. Children attend weekly with their parent(s) and are encouraged to participate in play, communication, music and movement activities in a relaxed fun atmosphere.
An early special educator coordinates each group with support from a childcare worker and therapists. Strategies are provided to assist children develop the early skills that are the building blocks for development.
A limited number of additional support sessions are available to families to address specific issues.
Families have the opportunity during the group to meet with staff to develop their child's individual program, learn strategies and ideas to meet their child's needs. Families value the support they receive from one another.

Baby Links - this small group of up to six families caters for newborns to babies in early infancy. It is a gentle introduction to intervention with an emphasis on building relationships, play, feeding, handling and parenting. Sessions run for 1½ hours.

Little Links - this two-hour program offers opportunities for toddlers aged 18 months to 2½ years to interact, play and learn together. Group size ranges from eight to 10 children with disabilities plus their siblings. This group supports the children's transition to their childcare or preschool setting.

Let's Play - this two-hour program provides an opportunity for families who are concerned about their child's development to learn more about how they can support their child's learning. It is an educational environment where children and families play and interact. This small group for children 3 years and over is supported by an Early Special Educator and Family Counsellor or Child Care Worker.

Koori Kids - established in partnership with Kurranulla Co-op is an open playgroup for Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander children and their families and is held at Menai. An early childhood educator and Aboriginal childcare workers provide a culturally appropriate environment to encourage children to play and learn.

Mobile Toy Library - the Mobile Toy Library gives families the opportunity to borrow a wide variety of developmentally appropriate toys and equipment that help encourage their child's play. Our toys also help children learn new skills. Families will be able to take home up to four toys for a period of three weeks. Staff are available to assist you to choose toys that will encourage your child's development. Our Mobile Toy Library visits our Early Starters Groups and is also funded to support a limited number of other groups for babies and toddlers. Families need to be a member of Learning Links to borrow from the Toy Library.

We also support Families First Supported Playgroups in south-west Sydney. Our therapy team provide information about development, play and learning to staff and families within the supported playgroups network.
Baby Links
Baby Links offers parents and carers of babies with disabilities and developmental delays aged from birth to 18 months centre-based early childhood intervention support.
Individual therapy and early special education sessions focus on practical suggestions for families that can be easily incorporated into their daily routines.
Strategies are also provided to assist babies develop the early skills that are the building blocks for all development.
Baby Links is a weekly small group centre-based intervention program available on Mondays at Miller, Tuesdays at Prairiewood, Wednesdays and Fridays at Oatley and Thursdays at Menai. In our experience, parents know their child better than anyone else and should be encouraged to follow their instincts and pursue any doubts they may have about their child's development.

Little Links
The Early Starters Program operates for two hours each week during school terms and caters for toddlers and children two to three years old. This program is held at Oatley on Wednesday and Friday mornings; Menai on Thursday mornings; Miller on Monday mornings and Prairiewood on Tuesday mornings.
The program offers a special group for families who are concerned about their child's development as well as children who have a developmental disability. Children attend with their parent or carer and are encouraged to participate in play, music, and language activities in a relaxed, fun atmosphere. For Learning Links' members, there is a small fee. Support and guidance is offered for families from Early Childhood Special Educators, Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech Pathologists and Family Counsellors during the play session.
Children often enter our Early Starters Program not knowing how to play together and the program helps them learn how to play and interact in the transition period before preschool.

Let's Play
Let's Play is a small group program for children three to five years old who have difficulty learning, delayed development or need extra help to learn new skills.
It is a weekly early childhood intervention program that centres on your child and your family run by a committed and caring team including an Early Childhood Special Educator and Child Care Worker. A family counsellor attends our Thursday group.
The group provides an opportunity for families who are concerned about their child's development to understand how they can support their child's learning.
Let's Play can help your child to:

explore and learn through a wide range of experiences; and |

practise following routines. |
While attending Let's Play your family can:

ask questions and gain information and ideas; |

access our mobile toy library; and |
| • |
develop an understanding of child development. |
Learning Links' professionals work in partnership with you to develop a program especially for your child and support you by sharing expertise and providing
information. You can also access our speech pathologist, occupational therapist and physiotherapist at an additional fee.
Where is Let's Play?
Each Let's Play playgroup meets on a Tuesday morning from 9:30am to 11:30am or Tuesday afternoon from 12.30pm to 2.30pm - this afternoon group is a Transition to School Group or on a Thursday from 9:45am to 11:45am during school terms. The groups are held at Oatley Cottage, in the grounds of Georges River Campus, Oatley Ave, Oatley, in southern Sydney.
Group sizes are limited and have a waiting list. Please contact us on (02) 8568 8200 as soon as possible if you would like to put your name down.
Fees
All Early Childhood Services programs have fees. For more information regarding this please contact our Head Office. Membership fees for families of children in a program are $20 per year (incl GST). Member families with a current Family Health Care Card or Pensioner Concession Card or in difficult financial circumstances may be eligible for a Learning Links fee subsidy when funds are available. Non-members pay 10% extra. For more information on membership click here.
Two weeks written notice of withdrawing from Let's Play is required.
Let's Play receives some funding from the NSW Department of Education and Training (DET) - Intervention Support Program to help with fees.
